A Unique and Successful Group Practice Approach with Jennifer Cobb
May 22, 2024Welcome to the Wellness Center Creators podcast, where we explore innovative approaches to health and wellness practice management. In this episode, I’m joined by Anna Rudel as co-host, and our special guest, Jennifer Cobb. Jennifer is a licensed clinical social worker and private practice owner who specializes in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).
Jennifer shares her journey from starting a solo practice to creating a bustling group practice. Learn the ins and outs of DBT, how it differs from traditional therapy, and its effectiveness in treating clients with early developmental trauma and attachment wounds.
We delve into the unique collaborative community model that Jennifer's practice employs, a hybrid of W-2 employment and a cooperative, allowing clinicians to take ownership of their schedules and income while fostering a supportive environment.
"We call it a “collaborative community” model. And I think it's a unique way to be able to have a practice.
It's really just this… We trust each other, and we've done things to show that we deserve that trust and as adults we just get to do our best within that."
You will gain insights into how this model benefits both practitioners and clients, and hear about the upcoming retreat for practice owners looking to build and grow their businesses. Whether you're a wellness practitioner or interested in the business side of therapy, this episode is packed with valuable lessons and inspiration!
