Lemecia shares her journey into private practice, what it was like and how she decided on her specialty. She also explains her experience as a small business with an independent contractor, the good and the challenging, along with her experience as a renter at a wellness clinic.
And we also dive into her role as a Clinic Coordinator at Vancouver Wellness Studios. About Lemecia Lindsey
Lemecia Lindsey is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. She is a Certified EMDR Therapist, EMDR Consultant and WA State Approved Supervisor. She is also the Clinic Coordinator at Vancouver Wellness Studio.
Lemecia specializes in helping adults heal from trauma. She creates a safe place for clients to share their story, explore their goals for therapy and develop an individualized plan for their work together. She supports clients on their journey using a compassionate and non-pathologizing approach. She helps clients with deep healing so that they can live their life to the fullest.
She has advanced training in EMDR therapy and integrates other highly effective treatments for trauma and chronic stress such as: IFS (informed) Therapy, Ego State Therapy "parts work," Somatic Therapy and LENS Neurofeedback. Lemecia helps clients who are suffering from: PTSD, complex trauma, anxiety, depression and relationship issues. In addition, Lemecia has special training and experience working with First Responders.
Lemecia began her counseling career working in community mental health agencies and schools. She is originally from California and moved with her family to the Portland Metro area, after completing her Master’s Degree in Social Work from San Jose State University in 2001. She has been in private practice since 2009.
When Lemecia is not at work she enjoys spending time with her husband, family and grandchildren. She loves outdoor adventures with her yellow Labrador Retriever named Hanna, exploring the beautiful Northwest and beyond.

About Kendall Hagensen
Kendall is a Somatic Mental Health Therapist, Multidisciplinary Clinic Owner and Business Coach. She specializes in, and is passionate about, working with healthcare professionals to create the businesses of their dreams. Big goals always have a psychological component beneath the surface, so Kendall uses her background in Somatic Psychotherapy and EMDR Therapy mixed with Business Coaching tools to help clients develop a healthy relationship with their business and their strength as a leader.
